Empowering Veterans | November is National Veterans & Military Families Month!

While Empowering Veterans the month of November was first declared as "Military Family Month" in 1996.  The month is a time to acknowledge the sacrifices that all of our U.S. military families make, such as separation from their families and adjusting to new living situations and communities not only at home in the USA but abroad around the world 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, they give and sacrifice for our FREEDOMS here at home!

It's a time to recognize, celebrate and honor the sacrifices and contributions veterans and military families provide for the nation's armed forces. Military families and veterans face an array of challenges related to their service to the United States of America. The month is highlighted by Veterans Day on Saturday, November 11.

The day became known as “Armistice Day” because it gave universal recognition to the celebrated ending of World War I fighting at 11 a.m., November 11, 1918.

Why is it so important to Honor Our "United States of America" Military Veterans every single day?

  • To show our appreciation for those who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedom
  • To remind ourselves of the sacrifices they have made and continue to make
  • To show our respect for the incredible courage, strength, and bravery of those who serve
  • To remind ourselves of the importance of defending the rights and liberties of our nation
  • To commemorate the service of those who have given their lives in the line of duty
  • To ensure that their legacy is not forgotten and that their service is remembered and honored for generations to come!

These are just a few of the reasons it's so important that we remember & honor the legacy that our nation's Veterans have fought & sometimes gave the ultimate sacrifice of giving their life!
